ciel - You are right, but it is a typical synecdoche: a part (the oven) for the whole thing (the bakery). We usually ask for the nearest forno and rarely say panetteria (bakery), if not in formal language.

I'm learning lots today. I thought this meant the old oven. I might need to sit down after shopping there.
