Step benches. To keep you in shape... It's a beautiful house.
This is a beautiful building, inside and out. I think it could get very warm sitting on those benches, though!
It certainly has a very Mediterranean feel.

The only thing I'd like to add to this scene is some white ceramic pots with red geraniums.

VP, I went there again and tried to get a closer shot of the step benches but there was something going on there and cars were everywhere hiding them...
