Thank your for this stately bench and for the link too. I didn't know about this war memorial. The losses in the battle for Berlin were staggering.

Having just returned from Berlin, I can tell you it doesn't look like this anymore! The greens have been replaced with reds, browns and yellows. I like this look back though. Those trees are gorgeous!
